Wright is one of Canberra's newest suburbs, released in the Molonglo Valley in the early 2010s, and the housing could hardly be more different to the rest of the region. Small blocks, terraces and townhouses, apartment buildings, and a lot of glass. The shutters here are young, but a decade is enough for control gear to fail and for a wide unit to start showing the strain.
We cover all of Wright in the 2611 postcode, the townhouse and apartment developments as well as the freestanding houses. Coombs and Denman Prospect are immediately next door, and Weston Creek is on the same run.
Newer housing brings newer faults. Very little here has worn out. What fails tends to be electronic, or the result of a unit that was specified a bit lean for the opening it covers.
Before you call anyone, it is worth finding out whether your shutter is still covered. On houses of this age the unit may sit under a builder's warranty or a manufacturer's warranty on the motor, and having someone else work on it can complicate that. We would rather tell you to go back to the builder than take a job you should not be paying for. If the cover has run out, or the builder is no longer contactable, we can pick it up from there.
