Spring Farm went up quickly. It is one of the Camden area's newer estates and the housing is almost all from the last twenty years, on small lots with big windows and very little mature shade anywhere in the suburb.
We cover Spring Farm in the 2570 postcode along with Camden, Elderslie, Mount Annan and Currans Hill, and Narellan and Harrington Park are only a few minutes further on.
New estate housing looks like it should be trouble free, and for the first decade it usually is. After that, the motors and the plastic components start to show their age all at once. The failures rarely arrive one at a time.
Because Spring Farm was built in stages by a small number of builders, the same shutter hardware turns up again and again across the suburb. That works in your favour. We generally know what is on the wall before we arrive, parts are easy to source, and a fault we have seen on one street has usually turned up on another. It also means neighbours tend to need the same repair within a year or two of each other. Oran Park is just down the road, so Spring Farm is close to home ground for us and a callout here is easy to schedule.
