Up on the ridge along Old Northern Road, South Maroota is sand quarry and orchard country with large bush blocks between. Properties are spread out, driveways are long, and almost every place we attend has a shed or workshop roller door as well as shutters on the house.
We cover South Maroota in the 2756 postcode along with Maroota, Glenorie, Wisemans Ferry, Sackville North and the Cattai and Canoelands side.
Bush blocks are exposed and dusty. There is no neighbouring house taking the edge off the wind or the sun, and the surfaces around the house are rarely sealed. Everything up here works harder than the same hardware would two suburbs closer to town.
This is a long run from where most of our work is, so rural bookings take a bit more organising than a suburban callout. Tell us everything on the property that needs looking at, house shutters and shed doors both, and we will plan the visit around covering the lot in one trip rather than coming back. Gate codes, dogs and driveway access are all worth mentioning when you book so the technician is not stuck at the front gate. If a shed door has not been run in months, mention it when you book, because those are usually the ones needing the most attention.
