A lot of the shutters in Seven Hills have been on the house for thirty years or more. The suburb was built out through the post-war decades and again in the 1970s, and the motorised units from that later period are the ones we are replacing parts on most often now.
We cover Seven Hills in the 2147 postcode, from the Seven Hills Road corridor and the industrial area through to the residential streets bordering Toongabbie, Kings Langley, Lalor Park and Winston Hills. Blacktown is on the same run.
Older brick homes here have had shutters on them for decades, and there is also a substantial industrial area running commercial doors that see far heavier use than any house ever will.
Age on its own is not a reason to replace a shutter. Motors, springs, straps and end caps are all serviceable items, and a lot of the older units around Seven Hills were built heavier than the current equivalents. Where we do recommend a replacement it is normally because the curtain is corroded through or the slats are too damaged to run true, and we will show you what we are looking at rather than asking you to take our word for it. Parts for most of the older brands are still available, and we will source them rather than default to a new unit.
