Victoria Road runs straight through the middle of Rozelle, and a fair number of the shutters we service here went in for noise as much as for security. When one stops closing fully, the owner tends to notice the traffic before they notice the gap.
We cover Rozelle in the 2039 postcode, from Darling Street and the Balmain Road side through to the streets running down toward Iron Cove and White Bay. Balmain, Lilyfield and Annandale are all part of the same run.
Terrace frontages are narrow, the openings are tall and thin, and the brickwork is old enough that how a shutter was fixed to the wall matters far more than what brand is on it.
Terraces leave nowhere to work from. There is no side access, the footpath is narrow, and often the only way at the top of a shutter is from inside the room. That is normal for us here and it does not stop the job, but it does mean we need to know what we are walking into before we arrive. Tell us the window position and whether there is a balcony or an awning in the way when you call, and we will plan the access around it. Parking is the other thing worth flagging, because it decides how much gear the technician can bring to the door.
