A racecourse takes up a large part of Rosehill, industrial land runs down toward Camellia, and the housing sits tight against both. We work on domestic shutters and commercial doors here in about equal measure.
We cover Rosehill in the 2142 postcode, from the streets around the racecourse and James Ruse Drive through to the Harris Park and Granville boundaries, taking in Clyde, Camellia and Parramatta along the way.
The residential stock is mostly older cottages and newer apartments, and both sit on low ground near the Parramatta and Duck River flats, which keeps humidity higher than in the suburbs further up the hill. Both sit close enough to working industry that dust is part of the picture all year.
The industrial strip on this side of the river runs a lot of roller doors in tight loading areas, and most of the faults we see there are impact related rather than worn out. A guide that has been clipped throws the curtain off line, and the door then jams on a later cycle rather than at the moment of the hit. If a vehicle has caught a door, get it checked even if it still runs, because the damage rarely stays where it started. A guide bent by an impact does not straighten itself out, and the curtain wears against it until something else gives.
