Nelson has stayed rural while nearly everything around it has been built out. Acreage blocks in the 2765 postcode now sit a short drive from new estates at Box Hill and Rouse Hill, and that gives us two very different kinds of shutter job within a couple of kilometres of each other.
We cover Nelson and the surrounding acreage, taking in Box Hill, Maraylya, Annangrove, Rouse Hill and Kellyville. The whole north-western fringe of the Hills sits inside our regular service area.
Rural blocks here carry mature tree cover, long open frontages and a fair amount of dust from construction nearby. Shutters on these properties do far more security work than decorative work.
If there are earthworks or a new estate going in upwind of you, expect the rails to need cleaning more often for a few years yet. It is a temporary problem that leaves lasting damage, because grit sitting in the track wears the slat edges and that wear does not undo itself once the dust settles. Clearing the rails while the dust is still loose is the whole of the trick. A shutter that has been through a construction season nearby is also worth checking at the fixings, since the ground movement from heavy plant can loosen an anchor that has held for years.
