Macgregor is really two suburbs in one. There is the original section from the 1970s and 1980s, and there are the much newer Macgregor West releases built from the 2000s onward. We get called to both, and what fails in each is almost entirely different.
We cover the whole of Macgregor across the 2615 postcode, both the older streets and the newer western releases. Latham, Holt, Charnwood and Dunlop all border it and sit on the same run.
In the older part of Macgregor the wear is mechanical and has been building for thirty or forty years. In the newer part the faults are usually electronic, or down to how the shutter was installed in the first place.
Because Macgregor spans roughly forty years of construction, we do not assume anything about a shutter until we have looked at it. An address on the older side usually means worn mechanical parts and a wall that will not hold a modern fixing. An address on the western side usually means an installation or controls issue on hardware that is otherwise sound. Telling us roughly when your home was built helps us bring the right parts. Where a property has had shutters added at two different times, which happens often enough here, we will look at both rather than assume they are the same specification.
