Kambah covers more ground than any other suburb in Canberra, and we do a lot of work here for the simple reason that there are so many houses. Most of them went up in the 1970s, so the shutters we attend are usually retrofits onto homes that are now around fifty years old, and the age of the building matters as much as the age of the shutter.
We cover the whole of Kambah in the 2902 postcode, from the streets under Mount Taylor across to the Drakeford Drive side and down towards the Wanniassa boundary. Oxley, Greenway and Torrens are on the same route.
Kambah's original housing is largely single-storey brick with aluminium sliding windows, and shutters were mostly added in later decades. The mismatch between an older opening and newer hardware causes a fair share of the faults we find.
Kambah is big enough that we group jobs by section rather than treating the suburb as one stop.
