A lot of Horningsea Park shutters sit on first floor bedrooms, and that is why so many of the faults we attend here have been developing for months. Nobody notices a rail filling with grit or a motor slowing down when the unit is above head height. The call comes when it stops entirely.
We cover Horningsea Park in the 2171 postcode along with West Hoxton, Hoxton Park, Prestons, Carnes Hill, Middleton Grange and Hinchinbrook. It sits inside our regular south west run.
The suburb was built out largely through the 1990s, so the housing is brick, frequently two storey, on estate blocks with modest setbacks. Shutters fitted at the time of the build are now old enough that the plastics and the motors are the parts giving trouble.
First floor work needs the right access equipment and it is not a job to attempt off a household ladder. We bring what the height requires and we would rather you left it to us than risked it. If you can tell us when you book whether the shutter is upstairs, roughly how wide it is, and whether there is clear ground beneath it, we can turn up with the right gear on the first visit instead of coming back.
