Two kinds of building sit side by side in Griffith. There are the interwar houses that have been standing since the 1920s and 1930s, and there is newer infill and unit development that went in around and between them. A shutter repair on a ninety year old brick cottage and one on a recent townhouse are not the same job. Both are common here and both come up in the same week.
We cover Griffith in the 2603 postcode, including the streets around the Manuka centre, plus Forrest, Red Hill, Narrabundah and Kingston. The inner south is compact and we work across all of it.
On the older stock the difficulty is nearly always the building rather than the shutter. Openings have moved, mortar is soft, and nothing is quite to a modern dimension. The newer stock is the opposite. The building is square and the fault is nearly always in the motor or the controls.
Commercial roller doors and security shutters on the Manuka side are a different proposition again. They cycle more often, they matter more when they fail, and a door that will not lock down leaves a business exposed overnight. If you run a premises here and your shutter is getting slow or noisy, that is worth attending to before it stops entirely on a Friday afternoon. We can look at a shopfront outside trading hours where that suits you better.
