Granville sits where Parramatta Road, Woodville Road and the western rail line all come together, and the traffic that comes with that is a large part of why shutters here need servicing more often. Fine grit off the road settles in the guide rails and the headbox, and it grinds at moving parts long before age would have.
We cover Granville across the 2142 postcode, from the station precinct through the residential streets toward Merrylands and Guildford. Clyde, Rosehill, South Granville and Harris Park are close enough to be on the same trip.
Granville has a wide mix of housing, from post-war brick and fibro cottages on the older streets through to newer apartment blocks near the station. There is also a lot of retail and light industrial frontage, and shutters on those work far harder than any domestic unit.
A fair share of our Granville work is commercial rather than residential. If a shopfront shutter has jammed halfway or the roller door on a workshop will not lift, say so when you call, because premises left open overnight go to the front of the queue. Commercial units are heavier and the parts differ from a domestic shutter, so it helps if you can give us the brand or send a photo of the headbox before we come out.
