Summer storms are what most often bring us to Girraween. The 2145 postcode sits squarely in the part of Sydney that gets the worst of the hail, and a single afternoon can leave a whole street of dented slats, bent bottom rails and shutters half torn out of their guides. The rest of the year is quieter, but the damage from one storm can take months to work through.
We cover all of Girraween and the neighbouring Cumberland suburbs, including Pendle Hill, Toongabbie, Old Toongabbie, Wentworthville, Greystanes and Constitution Hill. After a storm we work through this area systematically rather than at random, so it is worth calling early to get into the run.
Post war and 1960s brick makes up much of the suburb, with duplexes and infill development through the newer sections. Storm damage does not discriminate between them, but the older units have far less tolerance for it before something jams.
A hail damaged shutter is repairable far more often than people assume, and individual slats can usually be replaced without rebuilding the whole unit. If you are making a claim, we can provide a written assessment of the damage and what it will take to put right, which is normally what your insurer wants to see before anything proceeds. Photograph the shutter before anyone touches it.
