Homes in Edmondson Park sit close together. This is one of the newest suburbs in the Liverpool area, built out at pace around the station in the 2174 postcode with narrow lots and two storey houses, and the shutters here are fitted as much for privacy from the neighbours as for anything else.
We cover the whole of Edmondson Park, both the older and newer stages of the estate, and take in Bardia, Denham Court, Ingleburn, Leppington and Casula on the same route. The south western growth corridor is a regular part of our week.
Everything here is modern, so the faults are modern too. We rarely see the fixing and mortar problems that come with older housing. What we see instead is electronics, control gear and the effects of a very exposed, very hot location.
When the house next door is a few metres away and both are two storey, an upper floor shutter that will not close properly is an immediate problem rather than something to deal with next month. If yours has stopped part way and the window is overlooked, say so when you call. We would rather bring that visit forward than have you leave it. The same applies if a ground floor shutter has failed open while the house is empty during the day.
