Dural is bush and acreage rather than suburb. Large blocks, heavy tree cover and long driveways define the 2158 postcode, and the two things that bring us out here most often are debris from that tree canopy and properties that use shutters as part of their bushfire preparation. Both are seasonal, and both are worth getting ahead of.
We cover Dural, Middle Dural and Round Corner, and travel the same route out to Kenthurst, Glenorie, Galston and Arcadia. Castle Hill and the rest of the Hills District are well inside our regular service area, so a Dural booking is not an unusual trip for us to make.
Homes here tend to be large, set back from the road and surrounded by mature trees. That means big window spans, long shutter runs and a constant supply of organic matter landing on top of the headboxes.
Plenty of Dural properties sit on or near bushland, and solid metal shutters are part of how many owners protect glazing from radiant heat and ember attack. A shutter only does that job if it closes fully and seals at the bottom rail, so a unit that jams halfway is a gap in your plan rather than a minor annoyance. Have it looked at well before the season, not during it.
