The California bungalow defines Croydon Park. Streets across the 2133 postcode were built out through the 1920s and 1930s with low slung brick homes, deep verandahs and wide front windows, and those verandahs change how a roller shutter has to be mounted and serviced. It is a very different proposition to a plain modern wall.
We service the whole of Croydon Park and the surrounding streets of Ashbury, Enfield, Belfield and Campsie, along with the Burwood and Croydon boundaries to the north. All of it sits inside our normal inner west run, so getting to you is rarely the hard part.
Interwar homes have generous window openings and shallow masonry above them, which is not the combination an installer would choose. Add a verandah roof close overhead and the fitting options narrow considerably.
Getting a technician safely to a shutter tucked under a verandah roof is half the work on a bungalow. It is a confined space with limited headroom and often a tiled roof directly above. We would rather take the time to set up properly than rush it, so allow a little longer for a front elevation shutter on a home of this type than you would for a plain brick wall at the rear.
