Booroomba is rural country in the far south of the ACT, out toward Namadgi National Park, and the properties here are nothing like a suburban Canberra block. Homes are spread out, often on acreage, and plenty of them are older houses or owner-built rather than project homes. Winter bites harder down here than it does in the city, because the valleys sit lower and hold cold air overnight. Hard frost combined with long distances between properties is what shapes the work we do out this way.
We cover the Booroomba area and the rural country around it in the ACT's south, including properties out toward Namadgi and along the roads running down past Tharwa. The southern Tuggeranong suburbs of Banks, Conder and Gordon are the closest built-up areas and we service all of them, so a rural job normally gets grouped with suburban work on the same day.
Rural houses usually have shutters fitted after the fact, often to older or non-standard openings, and there is no shelter from anything.
Getting a technician out to a rural block is a longer trip than a suburban callout, so it is worth making the visit count. If you have several shutters, or a second building with shutters on it, say so when you book and we will allow enough time to look at everything in one go. It also helps to mention gate codes, dogs and where the power board is, because those are the details that turn a straightforward job into a second trip.
