Most of Acacia Gardens went up in one go. The estate was built out through the 1990s and early 2000s, which means a large number of homes here had shutters fitted at roughly the same time and are now reaching the same point in their working life. We often take two or three calls from the same street in a month, and the fault is usually identical.
We cover all of Acacia Gardens in the 2763 postcode and the streets running out toward Quakers Hill, Parklea, Glenwood and Kings Langley. It is a compact suburb, so if we are already booked nearby we can often add a call on the same day.
The housing here is consistent. Brick and tile project homes on modest blocks, aluminium windows, and shutters that were mostly retrofitted rather than fitted at build. That consistency shows up in the faults.
A shutter that closes properly keeps a west-facing room noticeably cooler, and plenty of people here lean on that through January and February rather than running the air conditioning all afternoon. If yours jams halfway or will not seal at the bottom rail, it is costing you on both fronts. Summer hail is the other thing worth raising. Dented slats and bent bottom rails are usually repairable, and we can put an assessment in writing if you need it for a claim.
